Educating the community about drinking and driving is an effective way to reduce the rates of alcohol-related vehicle accidents, injuries and deaths. According to The Santa Fe New Mexican, four students in a dual-credit school recently discussed the effectiveness of ignition interlocks in New Mexico. These students compiled, analyzed and explained data related to the reduction of drunk driving incidents in the state, developing complex formulas that led to one conclusion: ignition interlock devices work.
