New Hampshire ignition interlockNew Hampshire is one of many states that are considering revisions to current ignition interlock laws, and that consideration has gotten even closer through encouragement by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). EagleTribune.com reports that the New Hampshire state senate is looking at allowing first-time DWI offenders the opportunity to apply for a “Cinderella License” in exchange for the installation of an ignition interlock device on any vehicles driven. While New Hampshire currently requires the mandatory installation of an ignition interlock device for first-time DWI offenders with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .16 or above, this law would apply to first-time DWI offenders with a BAC of .08 – the national legal limit.
