While the rates alcohol-related arrests, accidents and fatalities may be dropping, there is concern that it may just be taking too much time to catch offenders. WTHR.com reports that a recent M.A.D.D. study shows that a drunk driver who is caught has likely been driving drunk many times prior to that arrest. This study states that drunk drivers have likely driven while intoxicated 80 times before being arrested, illustrating that more needs to be accomplished in the fight against alcohol-related driving incidents.
