With a striking vote of 48 to 1, Georgia’s senate passed a bill that will tighten the restrictions on citizens convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. SenatePress.net confirmed that House Bill 407 will not only cause a second-time convicted DUI offender to complete a DUI or drug program, but will also require these re-offenders to install an ignition interlock device on their vehicles.  Now that the bill has been passed by the Georgia senate, it moves to the House for approval before being implemented as a Georgia law.
