A New Legal Drinking Age Limit?

However, researchers are now looking at our older population, in order to gauge the effects of alcohol on the brain for those age 55 and above, potentially leading to a change in the legal drinking age. Allvoices reports that the initial research shows men and women over 55 are impacted by alcohol use more than when they were younger, impairing the ability to safely operate a vehicle and more. As these studies continue to evaluate the effect of alcohol on the mind, there is a question of whether a legal drinking age limit may be the logical next step.
