moms and alcoholIn decades past, there was nothing to the image of a mother relaxing with a cocktail and a cigarette while her children played close by. Today, however, the idea of moms and alcohol or other substances seems exceptionally dangerous, given the amount of research and information we have on substance abuse problems. Today.com recently published results of a survey in which 40 percent of respondants who were mothers admitted to drinking in order to cope with parenthood. While many feel that moms and alcohol do not mix, the question of safety and role modeling remain strong, as well. When asked about drinking, many survey respondents not only admitted drinking, but, feeling there were problems with other moms and alcohol abuse. Read more here: Hitting the mommy juice too hard?
