Ready to drive without your ignition interlock?Plenty of people are back on the road after a DUI, living life to its fullest and remembering the lessons that their ignition interlock taught them. You may be ready to get rid of your ignition interlock, too, and if your appointment has been set to remove the device, it is time to do some soul searching. You don’t want to get another DUI, and you want to be sure you.re ready to drive without your ignition interlock. That means you can answer the following with a resounding, “yes!”

  • You understand the danger you put yourself in, and others, when you chose to drive under the influence of alcohol.
  • You never want to pay for attorneys, legal fees, court costs and the other associated costs from your DUI, again.
  • You are not planning to hit the bars the night your ignition interlock comes off, at least not without a plan for a safe and sober ride home.
  • You can honestly say that drinking and driving is the last thing on your mind, and you are ready to move on from the experience, entirely… and that you’re a wiser person because of the experience.

Once you really feel you are ready to remove the ignition interlock from your car, and you are authorized to do so by the court, your first taste of freedom is right in front of you. Having learned the hard way about drinking and driving, you are ready to prove to yourself, your family and friends and to the world that sober driving is the only way to go. You can share your experience with others and help them make a better choice than you did. You are ready to drive without an ignition interlock once you fully understand and accept your choices, and commit to never making those same choices again.
