MamaBear App Monitors Teen Drinking and Driving

With today’s hectic schedules and on-the-go lifestyles, it can be difficult to let teenagers roam with friends. Concerns over parties, drinking and general location of our youth can be difficult for even the most involved parent. MamaBear is a smartphone app that helps monitor teens while they are out with friends, including the speed of a vehicle, whether any photos of a teen are “tagged” with trigger words like “drinking, “ “drunk,” or “beer,” on social media websites, as well as offering teenagers a way to discretely contact a parent when in need of a ride home.
